Get ready to shake your hips and get your dancing shoes ready: “The Cuban Fiesta” is on its way to Cluj!
Eliades Ochoa si Buena Vista Social Club are back in Cluj for the musical event of this autumn! The cuban rhythms and the unique feeling of Havana will take over the city on Sunday, October 4, 2009, starting 19h00, until 22h30, at Sala Sporturilor „Horia Demian”.
The location will provide access for the public to a small dancing floor, so that lovers of Cuban music and rhythm can dance. In the hallway 2 bars will be selling Cuban specific drinks and cocktails, like Mojito, Cuba Libre, Cubata, etc.
The concert features the famous composer, guitar-player and vocal Eliades Ochoa, the only surviving male member of the original Buena Vista Social Club TM, together with 11 artists. Throughout his career, Eliades Ochoa worked with Bob Dylan, Manu Dibango, Compay Segundo, Omara Portuondo, and with all the other great artists who formed the Buena Vista Social Club project.

The opening band is Mandinga. There will be a break of 45 min. between the two bands, in which the audience will be able to taste the Cuban cocktails at the bars. Drinks will also be served inside the concert room (i.e. the American style from sporting events). The show will be live on TVR.

MSA communicates for a PHARE project, acquired by RSC Consulting Cluj-Napoca / march 2009

„Capitalul uman – Resursa dezvoltarii economice” (“Human capital – the resource of economic development”) is a project from PHARE, financed by the EU, that offers a free training in order to become Human Resources Supervisor, for a number of 50 young graduates and unemployed personnel, for more than 6 months, living in Cluj.
The project was acquired by RSC Consulting, and will be implemented until the end of November 2009. RSC Consulting, from Cluj-Napoca, is a legal provider in the field of professional training and coaching, as one of major recruitment, training and human resources management agency. RSC Consulting is owned and managed by experienced specialists, in the domain of human resources and business management.
Project’s launching took place on March, 26, with the Seminary co-organized by MSA Events and RSC Consulting, at the conference room inside Victoria Hotel. After the launching, a press conference was organized, with local and national media channels.
MSA was in charge with the PR and communication campaign in Cluj, as well as with all media coverage. Major officials from the local administration took part at the event, and by doing so, they show project’s significance on the local labor market. As a result of the project, 10 graduates will be employed until November 2009, and other 20 will be employed during the first year after project’s ending.
The event was covered in major local and national newspapers, such as Faclia, Szabadszag, Kronika, Zile si Nopti, Clujeanul, Ziarul Financiar, and on national TV networks, like Realitatea and ProTv. By doing so, the event was widely promoted, and the efficiency of classic and digital media was enhanced.

TAKKO FASHION and MSA will continue their fruitful collaboration in 2009 / December 5, 2008
MSA, the advertising agency from Cluj, has created the whole brand communication for Takko Fashion, since their entry on the Romanian market, in September 2007. Takko and MSA will go on with their collaboration in 2009 also, the agency ensuring the promotion of the expanding German brand on the Romanian retail market.
The approach from MSA was based on an integrated communication campaign, for each event. Takko Fashion has opened 20 shops until now, and MSA was enhancing the event communication, by using advertising and PR techniques as well.
MSA has generated the proper marketing strategy and the campaign formula, based on certain communication channels: radio, newspapers, internet, OOH (out-of-home), BTL (in-store activations during the launching events, the 1st March dedicated event, drop mail and sampling). The communication mix emerged in order to create awareness, on a retail market in construction, having as the final aim the emotional attachment to Takko Fashion brand.
MSA, the advertising agency from Cluj, produced also the radio ads, announcing the opening of new store locations. The campaign for Takko Fashion was set up based on a brand awareness strategy, communicating the expanding store network, as a sign for its power to grow as a brand and as a strong financial player. The message was conceived according to the market need for high-quality clothing items – trendy, for all family and at best prices. Radio campaigns, advertorials, press releases, PR materials and other B2B and B2C actions were communicated on both classic and digital media.
The new Takko locations were branded using outdoor billboards, notifying the consumers about the new Takko store in their city. The visual concept was a simple one, stating the fact that Takko is present in your city. The key image that was used show a happy person wearing a Takko outfit.
BTL activities included special events and drop mail, like “face painting” performances, and a personal network distribution with 130 collaborators for the drop mail activities. Each team of promoters has an Area Manager, 2 supervisors and promoters.
At the present time, Takko Romania has 20 stores, in very good locations, such as hypermarkets, malls and commercial centres, and till the end of 2008, the network will expand to 21 locations, Arad, Arad 2, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Sibiu, Bacau, Bacau 2, Galati, Timisoara, Deva, Suceava, Braila, Bucuresti, Bucuresti 2, Pitesti, Iasi, Focsani, Oradea, Constanta, Oradea 2 and Buzau. MSA, the advertising agency from Cluj, provides brand communication to Takko Fashion on the Romanian market, since their arrival here. Takko and MSA will maintain their successful collaboration in 2009, ensuring brand’s expansion on the Romanian retail market.
Since their opening of activities in Romania, in September 2007, Takko developed rapidly their store network, and at the present time, the fashion discounter from Germany opened 17 stores, in large commercial centers or malls. MSA communicates for Delta Design, the national brand of home fittings and ceramic tiles / November 3, 2008
Only a few advertising agencies from Cluj and Transylvania are active at national level. Among these, even fewer broke the codes of a successful advertising. Delta Distribution SA, the national importer and retailer of home fittings is active on the market since 1996. At present times, they are consolidating their position as number one importer and reseller of ceramic tiles.
Starting in 2005, the partnership between Delta Distribution and MSA Advertising is based on mutual trust and on the creative strategies applied by MSA to create a strong market presence for the advertiser. “MSA Advertising has involved in our efforts to promote Delta Design in an intelligent manner, by understanding our brand core values, and by using the most creative techniques, supplemented with a good marketing insight. By doing so, they helped us in keeping our position as leaders in ceramic tiles on the Romanian market”, (Catalin Rotaru, marketing manager at Delta Design).
Since 2005 to 2007, MSA Advertising communicated for Delta Design by national radio campaigns. MSA Advertising used “through the line advertising”, involving both “above the line” and “below the line” techniques. The radio ads created for the advertiser brought large audiences and an increased traffic in Delta’s shops, showing the great number of events and promotions organized in there.
MSA, the advertising agency from Cluj, has developed since 2007 the collaboration with Delta Design, in the domain of launching events, BTL, sampling and event management.
In 2007, MSA coordinated the launching of 4 Delta Design shops, in Ramnicu Valcea, Targu Mures, Baia Mare and Timisoara, and of 3 new show rooms, in Suceava, Constanta and Brasov.
In addition to the opening of the 2 shops in Arad and Oradea, MSA Advertising communicated Delta’s brand through 2 national campaigns: radio, TV, online, newspapers and a SMS campaign. The biggest achievement in 2008 was the launching of the showroom in Bucharest, a co-branded store, Roca by Delta.
The amount of money invested by Delta Distribution in promotional activities, developed through MSA Advertising, reached almost 400 000 euro.
Delta will expand the network of shops in other Romanian cities, by opening large showrooms, and the future locations are Bucharest, Iasi and Pitesti. The focus will be on creating a unified merchandising system, showing both esthetical and practical sides of Delta’s products.
MSA wants to go further on collaborating with Delta brand, a successful partnership for both members.
Delta Design has 28 stores, 17 warehouses and over 100 resellers. Delta’s suppliers are more than 30, from different countries, having a long and stable tradition in this field of business. MSA Advertising provides full campaigns, for growing and innovative brands!

Two concerts and a fashion parade at Mures Mall / October, 31, 2008
MSA Advertising from Cluj was the “official good-vibe provider” in Targu Mures, during the entire month of October. The first concert that took place at Mures Mall featured Dupla Kave, followed by the Autumn Fashion Show. October ended in a Halloween atmosphere, with promotions targeted on costumers. During the evening, they enjoyed a concert featuring Ana Maria Ferentz.

Reinventing the image of Flanco stores, by MSA Advertising / September 22, 2008
MSA Advertising Cluj-Napoca has the creative resources needed to accomplish major projects. For the rebranding of the stores, Flanco used the experience of MSA Advertising, the full service agency from Cluj, skilled in dealing with creative solutions fitted for the Romanian retail industry.
Flanco International, a member of Flamingo International Group, decided to redefine its visual identity, by starting a large process of rebranding the stores and the commercial locations.
The main concept was to bring the brand closer to the customers, by changing the commercial indoor space, according to new principles of branding and marketing. MSA Advertising and Flanco have a fruitful partnership, for more than 3 years. MSA Advertising provided indoor advertising materials, logistics and assembling services.
The key-visual is the “smile” from Flanco’s logo, a symbol of the brand values that was implemented on indoor branded signage inside Flanco stores. The new image of the stores offers a new retail store concept: Flanco stores put a smile on your face!
Flanco’s shop-floor communicates the traditional values of the brand: client’s satisfaction, induced by a marketing mix including variety, quality, price, affordability.
The first intention was to create a space where the client finds himself in a recognizable realm, in daily life situations. The visual coordinates are centered on the human figure, in a state of happiness and trust, interacting with diverse appliances and products.
In order to make the access easier in a specific shop area, the visual identity brings a new element: color codes for each category product, colors that are placed also on the store directing billboards. For every product category, a different color, so the consumer can easily associate a product category with a specific area.
Mr. Tiberiu Smaranda, Business Development Director at Flamingo International states that “As a result of a long and fruitful partnership with MSA, on the advertising production side, we decided to expand our collaboration also in the creative direction. Roca by Delta - Inspired by water / June 20, 2008
MSA Advertising, one of the first advertising agencies in Cluj-Napoca, has a successful partnership with Delta Design. The first showroom “Roca by Delta” from Romania was launched in Bucharest, at the end of May. The event’s concept and management were developed by MSA that also organized the PR and media campaigns.
The “Roca by Delta” showroom is the result of the partnership between Delta Design, the national leader in home fittings, and Roca Group, a major producer of household appliances.
MSA Advertising came up with a concept that fits perfectly for Delta Design. Delta Distribution has been present on the Romanian market for 11 years and has conquered a leader position for the import and distribution of ceramic tiles. Delta Design is the brand name for the company and all the show rooms inside the country. It also has an important market share in the import and distributions of sanitary objects, wellness equipments and bathroom furniture. Delta Design collaborates with over 30 producers, among which there are famous and tradition companies from Spain, Italy, Germany and Czech Republic. For all the distributed products, the company ensures design and professional fitting integrated services. At present, Delta Design network includes 29 stores, 16 warehouses and over 100 distributors.

MSA Advertising at Condominium 2008 / May 9, 2008
MSA Advertising Cluj was the PR and event company at Condominium 2008 for two major players on the real estate market: Sky Vision and LBBW Immobilien GmbH.
Sky Vision is a real estate developer located in Cluj-Napoca, activating in partnership with a British real estate developer.
Irish Residence represents an innovative project developed by Sky Vision that intends to bring in Romania the Irish spirit, along with Irish indoor atmosphere and landscapes. The project runs under the slogan “Enjoy life. The Irish Way”, and is focusing on two traditional Irish elements: the joy of life and optimism. The project has 36 houses in 2 models, Country House and Skylight House, in one unitary system, 2 units at one garage. The whole value of the project is about 7 million euros, and it will be built between 2007 and 2009. The location in Floresti was dictated by city’s tendency to expand towards Oradea’s direction.
LBBW Immobilien GmbH is a German real estate developer, having the headquarters in Stuttgart. The annual earnings are about 733 milion euros, and the history of LBBH counts more than 70 years. LBBW Immobilien GmbH offers full real estate services, including financing, development, planning and technical consultancy and building supervising.
In Romania, LBBW Immobilien GmbH has 3 major real estate projects, in Bucharest – Rezidenz, the “German town”, in Sibiu and Cluj-Napoca. The third project, the one from Cluj-Napoca, is placed at the old Flacara factory location, in the downtown Cluj, and will start in 2008.
Condominium’s second edition (2008) will take place at Polus Center, a premium location for the International Fair in Real Estate.
